Growing spurt

It is true that children actually do grow in spurts. They go months without getting taller, and then suddenly grow 4cm in a month. But their growth is irregular in other ways as well- it is local.

We were surprised this morning when we woke up and fond that Lucy's feet had gone from a child's 6 to an adult's 11. She suddenly becomes quite clumsy, but on the bright side, she and I can now share shoes.
