Scheduling subtleties

Its 9:40am and I have already finished my morning coffee.  It seems too early to have another.  If I have more than two in a day, my stomach complains. So I can have one more today; but I need it in the early afternoon, to stay awake.  So what do I do for the next 4 hours?

This is a problem of my own making.  I was drinking too much coffee, a dripped pot a day– one of those 10 cup carafes that holds about 3 real cups.  I switched to pour-over.  The effort it takes to make a cup slows you down.  I'm not making 3 cups in an hour.   But a cup of pour over is stronger than a cup of drip. So now that I will have two cups in a day, I don't know that I am doing any better than a pot of drip.  So sure, "Go back to drip." you say.  

The pour over just tastes so much better.  

I say 'the next 4 hours', but it is not as bad as that.  I just have to hold out until lunch, because who wants a coffee when they are eating?  Two hours and 20 minutes.  I guess I could concentrate on work.  Or take a nap. Or, god forbid, drink tea.
