Benoit is visiting to talk about our paper on Near Unanimity polymorphisms. We have generators of the variety of reflexive NU graphs, and trying to embed them into what we are calling the 0-shell of a cube. I think it can be done, but we have to twist things. Benoit says, "It seems to me like we won't be able to do it." I suggest a break.

We go for a walk on campus. Benoit wants a coffee, so we walk towards the North Gate. I make coffee in my office. I make it strong, but strangely un-aromatic. Bad beans probably. Weak beans.

"Weak Beans" is my nickname for my brother Paul.  He's getting married soon though, so he'll need a new nickname. Maybe `Married Weak Beans.' No. That doesn't roll of the tongue. It isn't funny either.

But Benoit prefers an espresso based coffee to a big coffee. It seems to me un-Canadian, but, I guess he is Quebecois. And such a perversion is well suited to the coffee shops of Korea. So we walk towards North Gate.

We are walking on the flat-stone path. I stop him and point at a rock. "You see that rock?"

Benoit: Yes, is it wobbly?
Me: Yes. How did you know you?
Benoit: I read your post about Pavol .
Me: I haven't even posted it yet. I didn't write it until the end of December.
Benoit: That's not really me problem. It's dated in October.
Me: Hmm...
Benoit: So you mean you think we should look more at the 0-shell?

Deflated, my wobbly rock lesson defused,  I mope: "Let's just go get the stupid coffee."
