Santa hasn't come. It's a simple point, but ultimately important -- we have no chimney.
Most houses in Korea are heated by underfloor heating. Heated water is sent through pipes in the sub-floor. It is efficient, as it is easy to localize the heat to one room, and it is nice to walk around in bare feet on a warm floor. But there is no need for a chimney. Moreover, we live in an apartment. Where would we even put an chimney.
Next year we'll try a Jewish Christmas. I hear they don't need a chimney.
