Eunjoo and I are sitting at the kitchen table finishing off our dinner. Lucy, having excused herself long ago, is in one of the rooms, playing.

We hear, through the door a cute little “Ham, ham. Ham, ham.”

“What could that be?” I ask my wife.

“Maybe she’s reading Green Eggs and Ham.”

I get up and go to the bedroom, and open the door. The “Ham, ham.” stops.

“What are you doing, Lucy?” I ask.

“Building a house for Kulina and Jackus.” These are her dinosaurs.

“But what was that ‘Ham, ham.’?”

“Oh, I was hamming.”

“Hamming?” I ask.

“You know, with a hammer.”

It reminded me of the time when we were playing Hockey in the living room, and whenever she hit the ball with her stick, she would yell out “Hock!”
