I get a new computer to replace my Toshiba.

The Toshiba is the biggest lemon I have ever had.

The new one is a cheap Acer, made cheaper by the fact that in Czech, you can buy a laptop without an OS installed.  No Windows tax.

For the first time ever I install Linux. No running Emacs from some weird environment inside windows, no dual boot.  I install Ubuntu 7.04 on the laptop, and it flies.

It works far better than any of the Windows systems I have ever had before.

It is the beginning of a life time with Linux.
