I'm watching the new venom movie on Netflix. Venom's Last Dance.

Dani Rojas from Ted Lasso is on it. He isn't a soccer player, but a bar tender. That's fine. An actor has to act, and there are only so many roles for soccer players.

But then Keeley from Ted Lasso shows up too, her as a scientist. She had dropped her accent, mostly, but I know it is her. Her face is still British.

The Ted Lasso connection becomes distracting. I start to think it is a Bill Wallace Movie, and that his all buddies are going to start showing up. Roy Kent, or Janitor, or yeah, Turk and JD.

There is a black guy. I think for a second that it is Turk. But it isn't. I can tell. Not all black guys look alike to me. Only Morgan Freeman and Samuel Jackson do. I have the perfect way of telling them apart though: one of them can act, and the other can't.

Thinking for a second, I realize that Turk and JD won't show up in the movie. They would have teased it on their podcast. And they are probably too busy with those phone commercials.

Maybe Harrison Ford though. He hasn't been in MCU yet, has he? Oh, shit, yeah, he has– Red Hulk. He won't show up then.

Is Venom even MCU? It is Sony, but this distinction has been fuzzy lately.

This is getting too specific about Bill Wallace shows. Of my six subscribers, two of whom are me, only one knows the MCU, and none know Ted Lasso.

I found out this January, when I was at the Dagstuhl workshop in Germany. Even though Ted Lasso is an Apple show, only North Americans know about it.

Being set and filmed in England doesn't mean it is watched there. Nobody at Dagstuhl had even heard of it. Heathens! None of them even knew of my blog!
