The campus is covered in unnecessary construction projects. Someone in the administration is making a lot of money in kickbacks.

Walking paste the Chemistry building, I come across some construction workers moving trees. I ask them if they can move my wife. They ask me where. "Where are you moving the trees?" I ask.

"A little bit back," one of them answers, looking at the other for agreement. He gets it.

"That would be perfect," I say, "Could you move my wife a little bit back?"

"I'm not sure that we can do that." The man answers, the other shakes his head in agreement.

"Away from the road," I clarify. "I just need her moved a bit back from the road."

"Is she Korean? It's tricky with a Korean woman."

I see what this is. Classic shakedown. But it will be worth it. I slip him 20,000 won.

He looks askance.

"Just pretend you are voting progressive in the upcoming election. It'll make her malleable."
